Great article Kristie Taylor, thanks for sharing! I love the comparison between Do not disturb mode and blinkers for horses! I also think this is the most important tip for working from home. Technology can be an amazing tool, but it will be a curse if you don’t learn to manage it!
I use do not disturb the most on my laptop, because that’s where I get all my work done, and I get too many email notifications without it. I usually keep my phone in another room because I don’t need it at all to work.
I like the clean desk space tip, because I never looked at it with this angle of “you get distracted by things lying around”. For me it was always a clarity thing, but this approach makes sense too.
